I grew up in the Wood River Valley and graduated from the Community School where I took my first yoga class. Growing up in the Idaho mountains ignited a lifelong passion for the physical culture. Hiking, skiing, ice skating, biking, climbing, dancing, long distance walking has always been a big part of my life.
I graduated from The University of California Berkeley and went on to teach 28-day mountain courses for the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School for 4 years. During this period, I developed a regular yoga practice and started to teach yoga to my Outward Bound students.
I have extensively studied yoga with Bikram Choudhury, T.K.V. Desikachar, Tony Sanchez, K. Pattabhi Jois, and Beryl Bender Birch.
I co-directed The Yoga Center of Greenwich with my Mom, Toni Goodrich, for 25 years where I taught yoga to people from all walks of life, including professional athletes affiliated with the New York Knicks, the New York Rangers and the New York Mets.
An injury led me to strength training. I found the discipline of strength training and yoga to be perfect complements. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Bret Contreras Stronglifting Coach.
My specialty is an eagle eye that helps students get the most out of a yoga pose or an exercise.
